Justin Bieber Stars in CSI Season Premiere, 3D Movie and Acting Plans, Video
Justin Bieber is looking to dive into an acting career with an appearance on the season premiere of the CBS crime drama, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Justin Bieber guest starring on CSI is sure to bring in a whole new younger age group of viewers to the show. CSI producers were so excited about his appearance, they have decided to give him a multi-episode storyline. He will guest star on Thursday night's season premiere titled Shock Waves and return for the 15th episode of the season, which will air in February 2011. CBS hopes this will ensure that CSI's new teen fanbase will tune in for the entire season and not just for the premiere.
Creator Don McGill, writer Carol Mendelsohn and producer Anthony Zuiker said in a statement,
"Every 20 years, a phenomenon like Justin Bieber graces our world. We'd like to believe that the phenomenon of CSI has had the same impact on popular culture. The opportunity to bring them together in the premiere is a great treat for our audience and all of its new viewers. This will be true event television."
Justin will be playing Jason McCann, a "troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother". The season premiere of CSI called "Shock Waves" will air on Thursday, September 23, 2010. You can catch Justin Bieber's CSI episode at 9:00 PM on CBS.
Paramount Pictures has announced plans for a Justin Bieber 3D movie just last month and now they have a release date that is Just-in time for Valentine's Day: February 11, 2011. Director Jon Chu says that this project will be a combination biopic, documentary and concert film.
Jon Chu says,
"[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from because it's a really fascinating story and it has a lot to do with our sort of digital lifestyle now. He was able to do what corporations try to do now when they use YouTube and they don't even know what to do with it yet. It's a pretty cool story for our time."
Justin Bieber will also be starring in Will Smith’s upcoming movie. Justin was considered for the role after he befriended Will Smith's son Jaden Smith while recording the song “Never Say Never” which became the theme song for Jaden’s movie “The Karate Kid.”
Justin’s manager Scooter Braun has confirmed that the project is indeed happening, but he will not go into details about it yet, except to say that the movie is,
"A fictional piece that may have some similarities to his [Justin's] life."
The film will be produced by Will Smith and his company Overbrook, they will begin production in mid-2011.
