Megyn Kelly to Host 2
When Megyn Kelly left America's Newsroom in September to give birth to her baby boy named Edward Yates Brunt, we expected her to come back in due time. It has been quite a while now and up until last week, her name appeared with Bill Hemmer as co-host of that morning news show. On Monday, January 25th, her name no longer appeared as co-host, and it was replaced with Martha MacCallum's name in the intro. So in hunting to find out where she went; the Huffington Post states that Megyn Kelly is getting her own solo Fox News Show. She will be replacing the time slot of the “Live Desk” with Trace Gallagher that was co-hosted with Martha MacCallum.
According to Wikipedia, Megyn Kelly is a lawyer who earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in political science and her J.D. from Albany Law School where she was editor of the Albany Law Review. While a practicing attorney for the law firm of Jones Day as a litigator, she worked in New York City, Chicago and Washington, D.C. before leaving to pursue a career in journalism. She previously worked in Washington, D.C. for WJLA-TV an affiliate of ABC News and joined Fox News in 2004 where she covered the 2004 presidential race and the infamous D.C. sniper story that gave the metro D.C. area quite a scare before the sniper and his accomplice were apprehended.
A commercial during a station break on the Glenn Beck Show tonight Fox News Channel announced that Megyn Kelly will start her two hour Monday through Friday program at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2010.
